Thanks, went ahead and ordered one. Are you using that many shims for top end or your altitude. I have a MTX at low elavation so no need for top end speed just power at low and mid.
The more shims the quicker the response is, the 8FP are heavy and smaller shims make them a little lazy in mid but more on top. So yes it is a preference thing depending on where you want your power.

I finally put croc in my 2014 viper Ltd. It will hit 8740 tons then comes down at top speed to 8540 @ 94 mph which I think is good top speed but not close to what everybody shoots for 9000. I got the kit from Bruce. It pulls really well all the way thru and engages at 3100 which I though was a little high. I will tell you guys I raced a 1200 ski-doo with a intake and can and some clutch work done and it was a even race.

Nice to hear Attacker, not to bad of top speed but how many miles you have on your sled makes a big difference also.

Good amount of miles then....
If your sled was mine I would drill a small (maybe 1/16" hole) through the center of the rivet in the tip to gain some rpm back on top end. 8,900-9,000 makes a huge difference in mph.

If that is the Rivet that is in the tip, you can either tap that one out and find a 3.1/3.2 or if you have them installed solidly, you could just drill out the center of the rivets you have in there. Start small and work your way up to where the rpm's are around 8,900 to 9,000

Ok Bruce had them installed when I got the kit so I assume they r in tight. I will drill a hole in them and see how that goes. Sleds in Canada as we rent there so this weekend. I will report back on Monday. You are very welcome Scott
Happytrails may be onto something as the helix may be pulling more angle than advertised. Thus the lower rpm.

I know this is a Viper site and I own a one and love it, but I was wondering if anyone has tried this cotc setup in a Vector? I also have two Vectors LTX'S and before I try it, I was looking for some feedback. Thank-you

Like NOS-PRO said don't put it on a Vector, I designed the COTC for the Viper to make up for some odd idiosyncrasies I had never seen on a Yamaha before. I suggest a kit from Ulmer or Hartman for the Vector.
