Hi!
Report of my last trial today with 4.5 in the tip, 3.6 in middle wrap at 6-1 Dalton 45/39 and 4 shims .
I Hit the rev limiter (9281) speed was 93 mph in about 1500 ' . It's seems lot a spin at hole shot. I prefered 3-3 wrap. Next try I will remove 2 shims and 3-3 wrap and I think I will be on the spot !
I tested this set up saturday . I raced one mack z 1000 and one z1 turbo. I had amazing hole shot with about 4 length on each sled but they catched me at about 1500 feets. I reached 85 mph on loose snow and belt did 1/4 inches near the top of the clutch

I need to full my clutch for more mph after 1000 feets . May be I will remove one shim to have more grab on belt

Thanks Terry !
If I want to keep my holeshots and increase my top speed, do I have to remove 1 shim or increase weight in the tip? The belt stop at 1/4 of the top primary and the rpm is near 9160

Has anyone tried 8fa weights in the COTC . If so what were they loaded with? Had a friend give them to me to try on the viper.

Less shims hurt low and midrange but usually help top.

Clamping profile looks like the 8FS I would say try them and let us know. But at 64 grams and only two holes for rivets you might have to put 4.5 in tip and 3.6 in base.

A quick question that I forgot before I posted. Has anyone tried different rollers? He also gave me 15.6 rollers. What does stock clutch come with?

Rollers change the belt clamping force, and a few other things. I would go with the weights first as rollers would skew the results you are looking for.

I would look at adding weight to the tip....try to find a happy -medium.

.5 gr on each weight will decrease 1500 rpm right ?

No, it is roughly 1 gram for each 200 RPM. So putting a 1 gram weight in all 3 weights should lower you approximately 200 RPM. That is just a rule of thumb though and not an exact science.
