So I wanted to create a shroud to keep most of the Hot air from the engine compartment along with all the belt dust away from the CAI. Here's what it looks like.

Looks good, keep us posted on your air temps.

I wanted to do something similar as well. Do you have the AFR module? I'd be curious how it affects AFR

So why not just run the stock airbox? You are robbing all that air that could be going to the clutches. You would be far better off stuffing it outside the vent than limiting the filter with a shroud. Just get ready for lean AF ratios if you do stuff it outside.

How much power do you think you may get from the tube and filter up front to make it worth it? You know the "CAI" gains no HP at the crank right?

Knapp, that windshield is big enough to keep the person following you warm......

It's using the top half of that vent where it's at so there will still be flow through the engine compartment and i'm Putting a 200 CFM fan in the side of the cowling to push air into the clutch. If it doesn't help I'll just yank it out of there.

Ya, its the angle. Regular DX shield. Not as big as it looks, but perfect for actual wind protection.

Just look at the filter out front of the hood.

It's all good. The cool factor of the filter negates the uncool bus-like windshield.
In addition, if I was travelling north to ride and it was -35 celcius like last week, I'd have one too.(temporarily)

I really wasn't planning on gaining any power from it, just trying to keep the intake temps down in attempt to not loose power.

Exactly the reason I put the stock airbox back on. Trying to get intake temps down and lower clutch and belt temps. Stock box works perfect for this.

For those who are in love with stock Airbox SAB .. what about wrapping it in reflective tape any value
