The MTX is fine for trail riding. I have over 2400 miles on mine. I recently added an extra wheel to the skid to save some hyfax but other than that I love it. It handles well, I think, for a long track. I can out ride my friends through the twisty's on their Ski-Doo and Polaris sit down sleds. I say sit down because 90% of the time I'm standing. You have to "ride" this sled, you don't drive it. I just wish it had a challenger for a track.

ive had it out now, it works really well here. i only got it stuck once because i had to go into reverse, but that can happen with any sled.

I will never own a sled with any less track after trail riding my mnt lite. ok maybe less lug but I have my rear skid stiffened up with 4 position x-clicks and the stck front end soft and now am I just noticing some plowing through loose corners but if you let a little weight to the outside youll always get the ski to grab and corner no problem. It does have inside ski lift issues but after a few rides it just seems natural to ride the sled. I have 2000 trail miles on my sled and 3100 odd miles total, get some scratchers and add an extra wheel to the rear and youll be fine with slide life. For more info on my setup look at the thread in my sig.

i have around 2000 miles on my 09. ride mainly marquette county. Im still on the original hyfax but,im getting close the wear mark near the rail arch, i installed the low snow wheels right away and it makes a big difference if your going to trail ride , even to go out and play i would run the extra wheels, oh and the sway bar. the sled is scary without it on the trail. it has enough power for most spots around here. once the track starts to fold over some you can counter the front end push with the torque it has. thats the best part for the twitsy trails around here. other than a few close calls ive ridden the trails quite a bit and i like it. floats would help the front end. One thing it isnt, is fast though, 82 on the speedo for me but gets to 70 quick.......needs boost.
