TD has so many tunes its downright confusing. Does the stock mod muffler flows as much as the super quiet? What is the hp difference between 16 and 17 with the different exhausts? What rpm does boost build? Stock is at 6500 which are lake cruising speeds, it would be a bonus to have it lower for trail riding response. Looking for real world feed back.
Also would like to hear about the hurricane 240 and 270 tunes including what extras are required. I know the others need bov and 3 bar map. Which exhausts are needed for these tunes?
Thanks

Looks like 260+ hp for the Max spool SM and 270+ for the Max spool SMM as per their website.

SMM flows less than SQ and will pull about 100 rpm lower.

I have the max 16 td tune on mod stock muffler, with all the needed components to make 270 hp at 8900 and it builds 17.4 psi,but its a mod muffler, yes maybe less than a super quiet muffler, but not stock. What you need to do is compare apples to apples, all same components, mod muffler to mod muffler, than stock muffler to stock muffler, than 16 vrs 17 tunes.

I am running max spool 16 with stock muffler, cai, 3 bar map sensor and TS blow off valve. Sled runs great ,very snappy , runs 17 psi boost. Gets better fuel mileage than stock. Very happy, about 1500 kms so far.

Thanks guys. Snowbeast I agree apples to apples. I want to hear what combo works together so I can get an accurate opinion. What I am curious is what is the response like at what rpm. In ben's videos they are moving 50 mph and then punch it. Fine for lake racing what's the response at trail riding speeds. A viper with boost is more responsive on bottom end than stock winder. Looking for that snap.

Question. I have the mod stock .muffler with a Powertrain tune. Do you have a boost gage, and if you do,what pressure does that tune make.I have not run mine against any other tuned sled. But right off the line if clutched right and geared,it can be quite snappy, but the midrange is awesome, when its hitting 17 plus lbs, hang on.Question. I have the mod stock .muffler with a Powertrain tune. What is the difference between your setup and mine for power .

I've run 2400km's on the MaxSpool 17 (I assume, I use the 290hp on the dash flash) with Intake/3Bar/BOV/SQ muffler. This week I'm going to switch to stock muffler and run the Stock Muffler Jukebox and use the MaxSpool 16. I'm going on a 7 day sled trip next week will put on 1500+ km's so will have a really good idea of the difference. I'm hoping for similar low end grunt and less noise if I get that I will be very happy.
I'm finding for me the SQ is too loud on long trips, I run with active noise cancelling ear buds and it's still annoying, and I'm only 39 lol

Looking forward to your review of Max16.

Can't speak to 16 or sm tunes but I just got max pump 17. It is a flat out beast but with trail manners if you just cruise. It pulls low in the rpm range. Best mpg I have gotten thus far. SQ exhaust.

Just Max Pump 17 not Max Spool 17? MS17 is REALLY good but it is a bit loud on the SQ.Can't speak to 16 or sm tunes but I just got max pump 17. It is a flat out beast but with trail manners if you just cruise. It pulls low in the rpm range. Best mpg I have gotten thus far. SQ exhaust.
Flashed to MS16 for SM tonight, sad to see 260hp on the Dash instead of 290hp not sure how that's going to play out on the snow but we will see. I swapped mufflers as well back to stock, not a huge difference in noise based on just a sound DB App on my phone went from 80db to 78db, the darn clutch is just as noisy as the exhaust, if that wasn't so loud this sled would be way better but that's another thread lol
I will post in 2 weeks once I'm back from my trip.

Max spool sorry. Muffler got hot when making long pulls.Just Max Pump 17 not Max Spool 17? MS17 is REALLY good but it is a bit loud on the SQ.

Probably going sm since I came to a provincial police check and all most got sled towed and ticketed. No decibel test. Any mod and your toast in QC, where I like to ride.
