DIY CAI

Justin was $60 more, that's a tank of gas or maybe half of one this winter lol

You guys just bought the most expensive snowmobile ever made but can't pry 60 bucks out of your wallets lol.

TD dropped their price to $199 CDN so I snapped one up with the 10% discount on top of that.
We did after reviewing the cost of making them in quantities. I also dropped the price of the TD stock modified exhaust.
I too use K&N filter which is the same as we used in the 1100 turbos. High quality high flow, and it fits really nice.
We use regular worm clamp which are lighter and easier to install. This tube has no pressure so Tnut clamps are over kill.
The bend we use is optimal for flow. But there are other intakes I see which will work equally. This is not a very difficult part to build.

This is a great part that someone can actually do themselves given a few tools and parts contacts.

Where on the website do you see that for 199.99??
I wold have them mod my stock just for a second muffler. I’m running the powertrail flash and I wouldn’t mind having a second quiet option. I’m running the td super quiet muffler. I haven’t even ridden the sled yet bit I would have that done for that price!

The CAI is 199.99 not any exhausts.

That is similar to what Im looking at....that is not a k&n number though, it crosses over to the k&n SN-2510

It has 2 numbers on the box SN-2510 and 12-9001. Pick one, both are the same filter

That's in canadian dollar it's even cheaper in USD.
Don't mind the picture on the webstore, the new intakes are nice and we use a black silicone tube not a blue one. That was the prototype on my own sidewinder. I basically did all the testing and legwork to prove that intake flowed and made power.
Now you see immitations of it. Which is OK... easy piece to make.

TD cold air intake installed.

I dont care about people noticing, I tell everyone what I have.

I just want quiet muffler.

The CAI may not be as quiet as stock setup, but I like the air to clutches, also the added throttle response, and the more open area under hood on guard.

If I can remove all that intake crap on bottom of hood, and remove some weight, I will do that for sure too.

I love a DIY cheap mod, and if you go with NON k&n it could be as little as 30 bucks or so!

Dan

Just curious are you guys removing that panel under the instrument when using the CAI? Looks like more crap that could be removed per Dans thread as well.

You don’t have to but it is useless just extra weight and if you remove it it will let under hood heat out
