DIY CAI

Just curious are you guys removing that panel under the instrument when using the CAI? Looks like more crap that could be removed per Dans thread as well.
I did allows more air to get in or out from the cab through the frogskins

Once I change from stock to CAI setup with flash, I will remove that for sure..more airflow and less weight, as mentioned before here. Not my idea but a great one! Id like to remove more weight anywhere I can! haha

Has anybody found a k&n filter to replace the foam filter inside the air box?

Dont think they make one, but that is a valid question, as stock foam is poor at flow.

Other issue with that is, the channels above the big airbox on clutch guard, are rather restrictive at several points. So even if you added a hi flow filter inside stock box, I dont think it would be a worthy upgrade. Not too mention you still have the massive box there blocking all the airflow from front screen down left side....CAI is something that does many good things all at once.

Here is mine :)
Air filter K&N rx-3800. Pre filter rx-3820-pk.

Ok dumb question but here it goes! Does it matter where the two hoses get attached? As you see on the one I made I attached the hoses close to each other.
