Still chasing hot clutches blowing belts. This is the bearing flange on the left side of the inside of the tunnel, next to the brake rotor. My question is, is the gap between the flange & the tunnel supposed to be there? Its flat where the bolts are but nowhere else. Seems like it would let snow & water into the brake/clutch area. I had it apart this fall to dimple the shaft, wondered if I screwed it up.

Is it normal for water to enter the brake disc area from around that flange?
