Anyone know the driver size diameter and circumference of the 8 tooth xtx driver's and the ltx 9 tooth, thanks in advance.

Pretty sure it's covered in the FAQS under extroverts vs intros.

If buying aftermarket I would go with 10 tooth and keep your stock gearing. That would rock with Turbo especially!

What would the advantage be? I may be replacing mine and the sled isn't modded at all. Here

Putting 141" skid in my ltx, but want to run a 146" track (2.86 pitch) same as my current drivers, just want to make sure that the bigger driver's, bigger than stock 8 or 8.5" rear wheels and the adjuster's out a bit more will take out the 5" of extra track length. Here

A 10 tooth 2.86 will "use up" 2.4" of track Vs 8 tooth 3.0 . You will also loose .75" of clearance between the driver and heat exhanger so you will probably be limited to 1.5-1.75" track since the 2.25 powerclaw is fairly tight on the XTX LE which has 8T 3.0 My xtx has over 1" of adjustment left so that would also "use up" another 2" of track so a small offset axel should be enough to fit the 146". Also my XTX has the skid in the upper forward most mounting holes, you could use the lower one up front and middle rear to use up more track too.

Currently I am running a 1.6 ice cobra on my ltx, which is slowly turning into a xtx/mtx (7" wide ski's, mtx tripod steering, mountain seat, coupler blocks and shaft removed and a tiny windscreen),it looks like I still have about 2" of clearance between the track and the heat exchanger with my 9 tooth 2.86 driver's, so I think a 2.5" track should still have about .75" of clearance.A 10 tooth 2.86 will "use up" 2.4" of track Vs 8 tooth 3.0 . I'd be careful with this. With the 2" track on my 9T 2.86 drivers I have less than 1" clearance at the heat exchanger. A 10T 2.86 driver is almost 1" bigger than a 9T which means your gonna lose another 1/2" clearance. I don't think I'd try 10T and anything bigger that 1.6 or 1.75 based on what I have under my 137 chassis.Currently I am running a 1.6 ice cobra on my ltx, which is slowly turning into a xtx/mtx (7" wide ski's, mtx tripod steering, mountain seat, coupler blocks and shaft removed and a tiny windscreen),it looks like I still have about 2" of clearance between the track and the heat exchanger with my 9 tooth 2.86 driver's, so I think a 2.5" track should still have about .75" of clearance.

Yes he would have to go with 2:52 10 tooth. Just about 1/4in bigger than 9 tooth 2:86

8T x 3.0 / 3.14 = 7.64" diameter, 24" circumference.
9T x 2.86 / 3.14 = 8.19" diameter, 25.75" circumference.
10T x 2.86 / 3.14 = 9.10" diameter, 28.6" circumference.
Remember that the XTX LE running the 2.25 track had 7 tooth drivers. Nos Pro was able to run 2.25 on his XTX SE with 8T drivers, but he had to run it in the bottom holes.
Also remember that the drop brackets on your tunnel are not the same as the XTX. The holes are not in the same locations or the same number. In the front, we don't have a lower hole like the XTX guys have.
If you go to bigger wheels, offset axle will be necessary to prevent bending axle/breaking wheels. You don't want wheels sticking down below the rails a whole lot....

He wants to keep same pitch on drivers though....Yes he would have to go with 2:52 10 tooth. Just about 1/4in bigger than 9 tooth 2:86
2.52” pitch drivers inches Metric (rounded to nearest mm)
10 tooth 8.021” diameter 204 mm
9 tooth 7.219” diameter 183 mm
8 tooth 6.417” diameter 163 mm
7 tooth 5.615” diameter 143 mm

7 tooth 6.373” diameter 162 mm
3.00” pitch drivers
8 tooth 7.639” diameter 194 mm
7 tooth 6.685” diameter 170 mm
Measuring my 9 tooth 2.86 drivers are 7 3/4

Yours must be really worn because you can't argue with the math that I did...9 x 2.86 / pie (3.14ish) = 8.19"
No wonder you can't break 110mph. Your drivers are 5% undersized LOL

Appreciate the spec's and all the great info, I am aware of the slightly different rear drop brackets, 2 hole ltx vs 3 hole xtx, upper 2 holes are in the same location, brackets are $11 a piece plus rivet's so no big deal , have both skid's side by side and mounting locations line up perfectly, I know I sometimes choose the hard way to make things work but that's just me, I like scratching my head once in a while.8T x 3.0 / 3.14 = 7.64" diameter, 24" circumference.

Who makes an offset axle if the need arises?, Already have JT 2 wheel kit, so was thinking the avid 8.5" wheels should be enough.
