Engine builders, oil system priming

If he is going to be in Dulth do the good old hotel room rebuild. Be cheaper than shipping, and man it is fun to do in a motel room. We did it to our modified tanny once in Mo. make me want to come over when he is there just to shakehis hand. Paul

I've had the pleasure of dealing with Lakercr on acouple of occations. Not only does he know this engine like the back of his hand he the nicest guy you'll meet (as you can see lol). To me it's more then worth the shipping just to let a pro do the work...though...nothing is more fun then rebuilding in a hotel room!! :).

Thanks guys.

OK, so Duluth is next week-end, and then here is the rest of the schedule:

I'm not going to be quite as close as I thought until the new year. Perhaps someone on TY that is close to one of these races could offer up shop space and we could all meet up to get it done?. With all of the parts (assuming new rings) this is a 1/2 day job, then I can head to the track when it's finished. We could also do it in the race trailer at Duluth if you feel like a bit of a road trip. Hotels might be tough to find for you though, it's a pretty busy week-end. It would also be real tight for timing if the block needs to go out for honing.

If the dealer is OK with supplying the parts, I'm good with doing the work.

Do we know yet what the dealer had to say?

Just tell him YES!!! There will be a time when you'll be able to repay this to someone else in need. I am still AMAZED at this LOL.

That's about all there is to it.

Yep....thats great lakercr

Jesse take him up on it. Like I said, I dont have a hone, so if I would do it I would have to send it out.

Did you talk to the dealer yet. They would probably be happy to give you parts and wash there hands of it. (better then parts and labor)

Familyman

Dealer Gm said it will need a tear down and inspection and is talking with the service manager on the details of the deal. I will reply back when I hear back.

Next weekend is thanksgiving and I don't think I can break away for a drive to duluth, then my wife would really want to divorce me!! Let me see what they say and I am willing to do anything if I don't like thier response.

Thanks again guys, you all rule!
