Happy New Year!
The last few weeks have been testing the updated Stage 3 and Stage 4 Evolution Powersports flashes and found more power!
Final testing was yesterday morning with great results!
Updates to Stage 3 and Stage 4 will start this week according to EVP

How much more power and are they running the same boost level as before?

Before testing and finalizing....I "believe" the hpr increase was 8-9 on both stages on the dyno, but don't quote me on that. But, some codes popped up when testing on the trail 2 weeks ago so the programs weren't held past 3/4 throttle. Final hpr increase and torque I do not know.....
After this past week of testing, the updated programs definitely have more power by the raise in rpms and how fast the sled revs and carries the skis.
Jim and Kyle have told me that timing, fuel adjustments and a slight increase in boost were the key things changed.

Still no antilag??

Pinnin' it!
Did they bring on the boost lower in the RPM range like the others do?
Anti lag?
Knock detection?
Thanks Terry

What codes were popping on the Stage 4?

I was testing updated programs and know they are finalizing Launch Control, working on knock detection and a lot of other good things.
The boost, as you can see, comes on very early and is very snappy. This new updated stage for 3 and 4 picks up the skis instantly when stabbing the throttle.
What codes were popping on the Stage 4?
Just to be clear....there were no codes coming up from the old stage 4 that has been out there and proven for over a year now. But in my testing, I was getting SD_65 which is the knock sensor. But this was flashing on the screen before I could even start the sled.....so this is getting worked on I believe.
The SD_39 code was coming up while testing as it is the injector percentage error....which is what shows up when the injectors are towards the max. of their output. This injector code has been eliminated or hidden with other flash companies. The key to getting the most power, quick turbo acceleration and the maximum out of a sled while still keeping the safety codes in tact, that is what is important to me.

I purchased the Stage 4 last year from EVO and had trouble with Code 39. Also, given that boost came on so late we had to clutch it so it was sluggish down low. The challenge I have is timing - I need a kit working asap as we head up north soon! Really need the updated stage 4 like today! Else, I might have to go with another supplier.

The first gen EVO tunes would throw the code but they updated them last year and were fine. I put 1700 miles on with no codes at all.

First I’m hearing that the Stage 4 was updated to address this. I was in discussions with EVO all season (right until the grass came through and the boats came out), and all I was offered was a deal on a big injector tune (that still isn’t out) and a Stage 3 to replace a Stage 4. They do make a good “zero problems” tune for my Maverick X3, but that’s another sport.

Just what I was told by evo bud. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for updates too. Getting a lot of heat to jump ship, but going to see what evo comes up with here since I’m already invested!
Thanks for the update Terry!

I like evo cause they stay on the safer side of things and seem like a really honest company but hopefully they get going and release some stuff soon cause looks like a lot of people are ready to jump else where
