Exhaust CAN for the Viper

Does anyone know what kind of exhaust set-up is on the Viper race sleds? Those things sound BAD #*$&@!

Not a clue. They do sound sweet but a touch to loud for trail riding.

I was at Excell Motorsports today and they had a Viper apart making an exhaust system for it..

Here is the D&D quiet can. Was just at their pipe shop yesterday and they have already improved the look of it from this picture. They have a stainless steel heat shield and then their logo is bolted on with Allen screws. Looks sweet and sounds awesome. Way lighter than stock and had a 5 hp gain over stock. The straight through barker exhaust had even more hp yet but was very loud.
Do you have an idea when it will be ready for ordering, they did tell me two weeks but that was on 19th of november. I am getting impatient lol

I can get more info tomorrow. Hoping to get one on my viper early this week for some field testing if all goes well with doing the clutching on the stock sled and all depending on if our snow stays. If/when we do get the exhaust on I'm sure D&D will be posting a video as well as some numbers on what it actually gains in the field. Was there on Friday and it sounds like they are very close to getting ready to take orders.

Thanks for the reply. I look forward to see the final product and order one. So far the dyno results are promising. I have a clutch kit on order from Ulmer and will pair it up with that most likely.

What type of results did ulmer get from their clutch kit? Do they have any field testing numbers available? For anyone that would like to follow me on Facebook just look me up. Barry Roes. I will post any and all photos or videos on there as well as here in regards to all the upgrades I do to my viper. As far as hp numbers on the D&D exhaust I was very impressed. 6hp gain with a quiet can and 10hp with the barker, all for under $400 and a big weight savings sounds great to me. A lot of people said that gaining over 5hp with just a can was a very small chance. Glad to see that the possibility is there as it greatly helps us viper and 7000 owners!

Ulmer has a good reputation for all things performance when it comes to yamaha's. He has good clutch kits for the Nytro and I am sure he will for the viper. As far as I know he was still testing but shipping them out soon.
