Why does it say 3 quarts in the owner's manual but on the cut sheet it has 4.4 quarts. I put in 3 quarts 8 oz it's at the 3/4 full line. Any thoughts

I never go by the sheet , put new in till it reads full , then start it and add till it’s full again !

Careful checking it to make sure it is not overfilled. The dealer overfilled mine when new and I had oil puke into the airbox and eventually onto my garage floor.

Dealer did the same thing to mine. Confusing engine to do oil changes on. Never had one that needed special measurement etc.

I did the same with my 7000. I do have a little left in the gallon jug.I never go by the sheet , put new in till it reads full , then start it and add till it’s full again !

Yamaha should be able to tell us the correct amount of oil for an oil change, let alone publish two very different amounts.
