Yamaha is aware of the problem and are coming out with a replacement roller. No ETA yet. I have a set of Hi-torque rollers on the way to try.

I think the hi-torque rollers have met with mixed reviews on dootalk.
Can't remember all the hubbub.......

They worked for me years back. I used to shatter the stock ones on my 07 XRS. I beat the snot out of that poor sled.

they don't work with cudney's helix because it only rides on a small part of the roller. Otherwise they work great. Have used them in all of my 1200's.I think the hi-torque rollers have met with mixed reviews on dootalk.

Probably so.....I used stock ones on my 800. Again, I let what I was reading, turn me off to hi-torque's. But in this situation, we believe the stock ones to be the problem. Lol! Not a ton of options.

112 miles, flat spots on rollers. never beat it even a smidgen. put the nordlocks on turbo, filled gear case to half, filled oil to half, tightened all clamps, belt looks ok, coolant ok but a little white spotting in the fill area splattered, up and out, not down, will watch there, cracked look at shield is where two parts are joined, maybe eventually cracking there? have to go back to that thread....oh yeah, had air cleaner off too, big puddle of that thick oil in intake tube.

Too late for that. We have double agents amongst us. They have a small list of isolated occurrences they've. Complied. They make a mountain out of a mole hill. If one does something wrong, it's the whole entire Yamaha lineup going down.
Take time out they have a thread "850 issues"
Lost motors, melting coolant bottles and poor wiring issues, along with fires and no brake lights, to name a few.

If Yamaha has a flat spot on one bushing, "the clutches are junk!" They all grab their spears and start chanting!
