If Yamaha beefed up the frame in production everybody would than complain about the weight or cost.Only safe model for this type riding will be the Sno Pro in 08.
You can't have it both ways.

hygearsuspension.com, phazerfly. Click on doo and go to bottom of page to see the cutom axis. Pretty impressive selection otherwise. Frame reinforcement 5lbs extra, 10 if super beefed. Not so much to not have it.

Just a little update, put 250 miles on since I got my sled back last time and guess what, off to the dealer again. My resovoir shock in the rear skid blew out, and we weren't jumping at all this weekend. It was about making miles not air this weekend. My two buddies with there FX's have been hitting stuff more then me and haven't had troubles. What gives.

Sure wish I would have seen this thread before I made the "buy now or wait til next year" decision. Damn. These spindles are apparently made of cheese, and they cost about twice as much as a Rev spindle.
I used to own all Yamahas. Then the Rev came out.
So I currently have 4 Rev's and a Phazer.
6500 trouble-free miles on the Revs.
37 miles on the Phazer, riding it just like I ride the Rev, and its in pieces in the shop with a spindle that looks like a taco, and a tweeked frame.
The Phazer rides and handles better than any Rev i've owned, and I've owned a 2003, a 2004, several 2005s, and a 2006. I WAS so happy with the Phazer that I was ready to start selling the Revs and Go Blue again (been waiting 4 years to go back). But there is a real durability issue with the Phazer frame, suspension, etc.
Hoping 2008 will be better, and that Yamaha will stand by the first year buyers (or risk loosing them for a long time, or forever).
If you see a guy on a Rev, wearing Yamaha bibs, a Yamaha jacket, Yamaha gloves, and a Blue helmet - that would be me.
