I've done some searching and I'm either using the wrong search terms or there is nothing on here yet about this...
It appears that there is an alternate location where the skid can mount to in the front.. there appears to be an additional hole about an inch forward.
So my question, a) am i out to lunch on this one.?.. and b) if not, what are the differences between the 2 mounting points ?

Only thing I can figure is the 2012 cats which had a 128 in track we're mounted in that position and they left the hole there. They also had different pitch drivers so if you put the skid in that hole I believe the rail tips will hit the drivers when front of skid bottoms. There is alternate holes at rear also.

I moved my Viper skid down in front when I put the big paddle track in, same as the M8 is.
