Along with our Sidewinder that's set up with the TPI Clutching components and EVO Flash 4, Ben at Turbo Dynamics gave us one hell of an opportunity to try out the Power Trail Package this season as well. We are going to run it thru the ringer as much as the conditions this season will allow. Now my test package came with the flasher and few maps as well as the Super Quiet Exhaust, Dalton Weights and New Secondary Rollers.
Installation is quite easy for the flasher. Find the inspection port by your right foot hold as shown, pull the dust cover, install the pig tail and plug it in. Be sure to update the firmware before plugging it in.
- Watch this video to understand the system.
- Then download the updater (and instructions are in there very detailed)
- Use the updater to download the ECU flashes into the adapter with the USB
To use your phone to flash the ECU be sure to download Gap Flasher app on Google Play or Apple Store.
Install the New Exhaust!!
Once you have all the above done, then you can turn the key on and follow the instruction in the link above to email in your VIN to register your ECU Flash. This will allow TD to unlock the tunes that you have purchased. Once the email is sent and verified you will need to plug into your PC again and update the tunes onto the flasher and you are ready to flash. Or you send in the ECU to TD and Ben will flash it for you and send it back.
We have the Data Log functions, all of this is also on Turbo Dynamics site for more details. I am still learning about it and how to use it. Here are a few screen shots. This Data Log feature is pretty cool, you can log all kinds of info from the sled under normal running conditions. Like I said this is new to me so I am still messing with it to see what I can record or keep track of.

Sitting on the fence about getting this tune, how is the noise level of the exhaust? I am likely going to go with the stock modified muffler, noisy exhaust likely to get you a ticket on Ontario

Nice set up Mr. Sled. Maybe all the power you want and need with the many flashes. Very cool!
Just add snow for extra fun.

Nice write-up Mr Sled! I love seeing all these screenshots of the data logging and live values...Wow we are truly in a new era here with all this via Bluetooth! love it.
I like the idea of logging the data, so I assume for guys who dont want to mount their iPad/iPhone to the sled and watch values Live, you can just log it, and then check it all out when you get back home. Very cool stuff.
I believe the logging is an additonal option/cost when you own the flasher correct? Any idea how much?
Great thread!

Yes that is a extra cost to have the logging feature. Not sure how much it affect the package price. There are just to many options and my mind starts to spin..LOL, its easier just to make contact with TD.
Very cool but you plug what into where? Will my rotary cell phone work with that?

That's just sad! A couple new accessories & he's like a kid with a new gun & knife belt for his GI JOE...then he swears to sound cool in front of the other kids. LOL
Since you have 2 different kits, now maybe we can get a comparison. Not which is better, but characteristics of each.
P.S. Did anybody else know you can swear on this site?
