Rode 155 miles yesterday at +5F and loved all 818,400 feet of it. The Viper is a GREAT trail machine. Rode with an Apex rider, we traded sleds a couple of times, he was impressed with the ride quality and riding position of the Viper; overall he said he liked the total package better than the Apex. He commented on how nice and hard it pulls out of a corner. I filled up part way through and got 6 gallons at 92 miles, = 15.3 MPG. It goes 93 mph on hardpack (comletely stock), gets good mileage, rides great, handwarmers get hot on the high setting, and I've not had any of the hot start/cold start issues, and have not had it reflashed. I am VERY happy with this sled. Approaching 1000 miles without an issue. Well, the seat warmer doesn't always work, but sometimes does, so I guess I do have one issue... which is nearly insignificant, but the dealer said they will replace it. It gets an A+ from me.

Last week I sold my backup 2015 Polaris Pro S 800 SB cause I hated it and bought a 2015 Viper XTX SE for a backup to my 12# boosted 2014 XTX. I was going to build it into a Ice/grass drag sled but love it so much I think it is going to stay stock!

I love this sled. I can ride harder and faster in rough, tight trail on this sled than any other sled I've ever owned. And I've owned a bunch. I would not trade it for anything out there right now. I am however disappointed in a couple things. 1) I have had more warranty issues on this sled than on all the Yamahas I have ever owned combined. Real issues that the dealer fixed. Like "won't start when it's hot" or "the starter grenaded". Not imagined ones like "the ride is too stiff" or "my headlight isn't bright enough". 2) It's slower than my Nytro and it uses more gas.
I don't think that makes me a hater. Although I was for a few hours after getting stranded on the trail, 150 miles from my truck with a bad starter. Last night's ride got me over it.

Well just got back from our trip and my viper by far dominated all others!!! With no effort this sled was leaving all the other behind
(1000 sdi, t660, rx1) I would stop every 20km to wait for the others! I absolutely love this sled!!!!! Fuel mileage was good, machine run flawlessly, and this thing rails the corners! I now have 1100kms and wouldn't trade it for anything!!
