Since there is rideable snow I figured that now woule be a great time to pull the skid out and install my Duponts. :drink:
Also tossing in a 4th wheel kit on the rear axle and replacing a few idlers/bearings.

Anyhow here is an issue that may cause problems on 144" skid sleds, the Dupont inserts do NOT go far enough back to cover the worst wear zone on the skid and may result in overheating of the slides at the end of the duponts and the inserts coming out. Before I added the extra set of idlers the worst wear was the last 6" before the idler at the rear kick-up. With the add-on wheels, see my DIY in my sig, there was hardly any wear in that area and the slides I just removed had 3,400 miles on them. The factory set only made it 500 miles before I added the idlers.

Thanks for the heads up.

Does anyone else feel that they are runnin a bit faster with duponts? Maybe I am just still delusional from payin 170 bucks for these. haha

I think mine coasted better with the Duponts and I definitly sped up since I wasnt worried about burning up slides anymore.

What exactly is the benifit of these slides? I've seen them at the dealer but for $75/pc they better last for life.
