I know it's funny but have never had it happen on any other sled. Maybe it's because I ride all the way forward all the time. Knees up against the panels.

are there wires already there to plug into if you add a aftermarket heater?

Yup I went with MotorFist Bibbs and even at -35 found that ball sweat a problem If I added the seat heater I would have to add Gold Bond in the shorts!!!! or better yet..........

Never noticed when riding the Cats but on my Viper two or three times last winter I thought the nads were froze. No women around to warm them up either. Small price to pay versus getting caught with your hands in your pants on trail eh?
Wrangler Riggs thinsulate lined jeans:

I wear under armor and the bibs. Has always been enough. Going to try some tape right under the windshield wing since yamaha doesn't make a little deflector for there like cat does. Our hood is different there. Maybe when you guys are riding yours go back in so they don't get cold!

Those jeans are awesome for other outdoor stuff like snow blowing etc. I have UA 2.5 basemap undies that I wear under these.
If you haven't tried insulated jeans you don't know what you are missing.

How many "SE" owners installed the heated seat accessory? It's an expensive item from Yamaha to add, but I was able to get all the part numbers ala-cart from Cat to go at it from that angle to keep costs down.
Just want to read some comments from others whether to add or not. Thanks!
Did you ever do your install? I ordered the Yamaha kit that includes "laminated seat cover" which is all black. I like the idea of all black as I thing the blue and white on the OE cover is a bit much.
I see no lamination or pocket in the cover, but it does have a thin layer of a gray foam on the underside. I have not pulled the OE cover yet to see if it is any different. I did test my Swingline stapler and had no problem running in a 3/8" long staple. I now need to get some 5/16" as directed. I may try to install the cover myself.
Note: I have a Doo seat kit here for the Renegade. The seat has a laminated pocket to accept the element plus it would appear that the seat has preset holes to attach to the base.
Nice! Hope you do a write up with pics on the install. I do not see the wire to plug it in on mine so I assume there is a wiring harness and switch with kit?

It uses the plug that you used for the heated visor. Might need a 2'fer plug for this one.
But it disconnects for removing seat back by battery right?

Yes
Feeds from the accy plug by the reverse actuator to switch that mounts in dash then back to element. Good plenty of cord for any sled in fact it should be less IMHO.

Sorry TD, I did not install the heated seat option. I'll ride the sled first and see if I would benefit by having a heated seat this Winter.

Anyone looking for a heated seat kit for $130.00? I bought one and it is the exact same heating element, switch and wiring harness as Yamaha's kit. It is not the right seat cover but I will use my original seat cover anyhow.
