Rode the sled 72 miles, got to our destination and had dinner. About an hour. Ran perfect the whole way up including a couple stops with restarts. Went outside to leave, tried starting the sled. DEAD. Gauge lights come on, but nothing. Checked the connections at the battery including the relay. The hot side of the relay was loose. Tightened it and got a jump, fired right up. Pulled the cables and it died immediately. Thoughts?!?

I only have basic tools with me and no voltmeter.

Maybe try jumping it and leaving your sled off for about 10 minutes to try getting a charge into the battery. Does the battery feel frozen?

Have the sled doing the jumping run it at a high idle also. I think your battery is totally drained.

I had it on a 1500 Chevy truck. No luck, and the battery did not feel froze at all.

Do you think that the loose connection killed the battery while inside? Weird that it didn't flicker at all on the last part of the ride (25 minutes or so)

There is a 30 amp Batt fuse. Its furthest one toward front and to the right side in box when sitting on sled. Maybe fuse popped when jumping.

Thats not cold enough to freeze bat in a hr. Check the fuse. If small hands it is possible to get at it without hood removal

Shifted plate in /Battery?????

Any sleds riding with you that have a recoil and electric start. Most of those dont need the battery.
