Ok, I get it now thanks. Ended up disassembling the whole headlight assembly, those bulb holding springs are a bitch to get back on. Just thinking also do you think it’s worth buying the updated 2017 headlight housing and if yes do you know part#

I don't believe the 2017 LED housing is a direct replacement so modification are needed to make it fit. LED lighting is the future but at this point I believe they still lag in comparison to HID headlights. LED lighting requires an array of LEDs properly arranged and then placed in a reflector housing that spreads the light evenly over a desired area. The problem so far is that LED headlights are still to directional and don't illuminate enough to the sides. The little side coverage outside the main beam usually tends to be scattered light with a lot of shadowing.
Replacement cost for a LED headlight is also very expensive compared to replacement bulbs or HID parts. If for some reason that LED headlight fails there is no quick fix because there are no bulbs that can be replaced. The only fix may be replacing a $300 housing. I'll stick with HID for know.

I see there is a revised part number for the Viper headlight housing and bulb but I'm not sure what changes they made or if it's an improvement.

Hey grizz you wouldn’t happen to have a picture of what the shield looked like after you ground it would you? I just put an order in for the ddm kit and looking at what to expect to have to do when I get them in terms of the mod
