Thanks for the write up! Can you post where you would mount the Grounds too? Thanks ! Are you still removing a half moon section from the light shield so the HI/LOW blend better?

I just got them from Rock. I dont believe I had to wire anything. Just plugged right in. I know I never modded the shields. They worked great as is. If you have another brand best ground is by the fuse box. On the hood I really dont know.

I use sledstart patch cables to eliminate the need for the high/low control relay so there is no need to run a ground or positive cable to the battery. It's probably best to run the ground to the chassis but using the ground in the spare 3-prong headlight plug might work.
Modifying the shield by opening the window is the simplest way to correct the problem with the high/low beam differential. I haven't seen any HID kits that properly correct the issue which is a combination of bulb design and a poor headlight housing design so the shield mod is your best option.
There is also a new headlight housing for 2017. Should be available soon.

Is it suppose to be interchangeable with previous years? It will be interesting to see if it's any better.

So on my DDM kit I have this harness, I have plugged the male 3 prong plug into one of the Females off the back of the light bulbs. only one side lights up. do I have a bad Ballast or bulb or have I done something wrong?
Make sure the ground wire to the ballast on the side that is not working is adequate. How did you wire the positive lead? The nice thing about having a two bulb system is that you can rotate parts to see what the cause of the problem is. Rotate the bulbs then ballasts and if neither make a change then there's a problem with the relay or wiring. I've herd reports of bad bulb or ballasts in new kits. I haven't had any issues with DDM tuning parts but I did have a bad bulb in a Yamaha HID kit that I installed a couple of years ago.

Positive lead went down to the pos on the battery . For grounds I used the 10mm mounting bolt that holds the the head light assembly on to the mounting frame. I will check them. I do have to say ROCZ kit is much simpler and straight forward not one ground or any splicing. I did my brothers on a 1200X in just over an hour and had no idea how to take a skidoo apart!Make sure the ground wire to the ballast on the side that is not working is adequate. I agree that there are other, more expensive kits that eliminate the need for any extra work or expertise by the installer. The DDM kit is plug and play but not customized for sleds like ROCZ kits but I'll splice or extend a couple wires for the difference in cost anytime. The relay harness is needed only for High/Low control and can easily eliminated with simple patch cables. For those who don't like the extra work and don't mind paying more I'd recommend sticking with ROCZ HIDs. In the past I thought about getting into customizing DDM kits for sleds but then that would raise the price per kit and I also have no desire to compete with ROCZ's kits.

What do toy do with the other factory headlight plug? Which one on the new HID's plugs into what factory plug?
