How many Apex owners think they want upgrade to Sidewinder?

I like the 4 cyl engine and hp. I just wanted a better chassis and ride. SW should accommodate that. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the 4 banger, though.

I'm keeping my Apex for what that's worth, and I wouldn't do it. Yamaha gave us the best sled at the time. There now is something better. Doesn't have to be a 4 cylinder to be great.

Well said. That's why I'm hanging on to my Apex's and getting signed up for a SW. They're both entirely different sleds but at the end of the day either one should provide a smile on your face.

After 20,ooo miles on my 06 Apex GT. it is part of me and why should I spend 20k on a sled that I have to learn and adjust all over again. I am old school and hard to please, while putting on 125 miles yesterday I thought of how could I improve this sled .I have Rocker Dan hand warmers,HID lights, stainless steel pipes with copper donuts, great windshield , hand guards with mirrors, updated snow flap,168 Gold diggers ,DuPont slides ,Snow trackers , sweet customized muffler and on and on. I ride groomed trails and this sled handles awesome with original electric and clicker shocks. The SW will have a lot of good points but I am not ready to switch yet. The sound of the 4 cyl. at MAX RPMS is in my blood since 2003 !!! Also I have never blown a belt on original clutches !!!

So after 14 years on my 02 Viper, I broke down and bought a used 11 Apex XTX. Not thinking I want to jump on a turbo just yet! And being handy I like the price of a clean used one. I picked this up after season from a great guy near me!

Yep. Star on it. And it was very well cared for from what I can tell.

Anyone who is willing to take the time to paint the plastics, I can almost guarantee are going to meticulously maintain the sled....well, at least thats me, lol!!
