Just watched your video....nice job.
So just a tiny bit of play is ok..but any more than a tiny bit means the clutches aren’t centered...if it fits nice and snug(zero play), is it even better??
I think I’m gonna buy it from you Dave. Can I call you and do it over the phone..or do you prefer people do it on line?

It's not about being centered ,It's about the correct off set that changes as the motor is loaded and shift occursJust watched your video....nice job.

I don’t see how this tool does anything more than give you a gauge to set offset to ~58mm. What am I missing? It's not about being centered ,It's about the correct off set that changes as the motor is loaded and shift occurs
Post corrected.

Is 68mm the correct offset?

This tool sets the correct offset to insure that the belt runs perfectly strait when it’s supposed to.

I thought offset was supposed to be like 58.mm not 68. mm. Unless you have some type if indicator and gage block setup your just guessing if you think you know where you are down to the .1 mm’s. ( a sheet of notebook paper is thicker than that.)

Yep. Sorry for that I’m on my phone and didn’t notice I fat fingered it. I had 2mm milled off my secondary shaft so I can get offset to 57.5mm to start with this new sled.I thought offset was supposed to be like 58.mm not 68. mm. Unless you have some type if indicator and gage block setup your just guessing if you think you know where you are down to the .1 mm’s. ( a sheet of notebook paper is thicker than that.)

Yes,that is the tool, its simple to use.Was just on his site..found a clutch alignment tool, but it just says to help align your Yamaha clutches(nothing about specifically the Sidewinder??). Is this the one you’re talking about for the Sidewinder?? It’s 89.99 US dollars. Or is there another one specifically for the Winder.
And no video...it’s gone. If anybody has the video, or knows where to find it, I’d love to see it???
