All,
My memory isn't what it used to be so I need assistance. Do you have to load the tunes into the GAP app on your phone or are they in memory of the flash tool? My sled has been in the shop for months and I had to get a new phone and lost my old data. I've looked through my emails and cannot find anything to help me in the orders from Hurricane. I was able to reload the GAP Flasher app on my phone but since the sled is still in the shop I cannot tinker with anything. We are leaving Saturday for Quebec and I'd like to have my app working in case they get the sled done in time. If not I'll be stuck on a 2016 1200 grand touring. Not the end of the world but I really want to ride the Sidewinder.
Thanks in advance for any help. Ron

They are in the memory of the flasher.
The flasher has to go to the computer to get updates and new flashes when plugged in, after updates to the flasher from the computer, the phone then loads the tunes from the flasher into the ECU at the sled.
If you got a new phone, you'd need to sign in with your email address on the GAP app also.
Not sure if you have data logging or not, if you do you can connect app to flasher thru bluetooth while sled is running to log and view data as sled is running.

When I used it last year I could monitor the sled while it was running on the app. So If I have understand your post, if I reloaded the GAP app on my phone all the tunes should still be in the flasher on the sled and all should work as it did on my old phone????

That is correct. Just be sure you are able to log in on your app.

Thank you very much. I'm working 12s right up to Saturday and have no time to mess with any hickups.

I have a new sled ordered for next year. Can I leave my stock bundle flash in the sled I'm selling and remove the flasher?
If I set the default tune to 270hp in the old sled will it stay there when the flasher is removed?
How much will a new tune be for the 2021 since I already own the flasher?

I have a hurricane bundle 240 -270-290 , I can switch tunes on my phone , but my phone for some reason doesn’t show the data , throttle position, boost, etc now .
What would cause that ??? Not that really need that data ...
Also would might be selling sled if Yamaha has updated the sidewinder, is the flasher still good for new sled ?

You must pick what parameter you want it to show in what position

How exactly is that the completed? I recently downloaded the gap app so I would expect that to be up-to-date

Find Gap/Hurricane Flasher Updater software on your computer. Connect flasher to computer via USB. Update flasher firmware to latest if needed and update tunes if needed (tunes may be refined or may not have changed at all). How exactly is that the completed? I always check for updates to Firmware and Tunes before I go on a trip.
Once you have all that done your flasher is ready to plug in to to your sled if you get it back in time.

Hi
Instructions on how to use the flashers, set live data and the likes are found here;

All set this afternoon. Thank you all for the help.
I'm not sure if it's the new phone or firmware but the app runs a whole lot better than it did last year. Seems to open and load faster and switches tunes quicker too for some reason.
