Not to get off topic but what are you guy's running for clutching, do you have to adjust weighs, is there a clutch kit that doesn't require the removal of weights to adjust for tune levels.

That was going to be my next question, so with the 19 sw you can switch tunes while sled is in motion? If you have/ or get s 19 you can switch tunes on the fly on the new stock gauge control switch on the handlebars(new on sidewìders for 2019) fyi
I assume 17-18 you need to have key on and get into the settings on the dash.

You can switch on the fly through the gauge. But you will need to toggle the top right button on gauge . On the 19 you can toggle from both locations gauge or handlebars

So they are all switchable on the fly, just one is more convenient to get too.You can switch on the fly through the gauge. But you will need to toggle the top right button on gauge . On the 19 you can toggle from both locations gauge or handlebars

There is youtube video where Ben from TD states that ecotrail(which is close to 240hp) can be run with stock clutching.
Also, if you were to upgrade to the 19 helix, this would probably be even more true, as the helix finishes steeper.

My friend has
a 17 129 with this exact setup I just described. He has been north and said the revs are about 8600. We left the heavy rivet in the end hole instead of installing the aluminum that comes with the update kit. I have yet to drive it myself as we had no snow when the work was done. There is youtube video where Ben from TD states that ecotrail(which is close to 240hp) can be run with stock clutching.

3 Barr sensor is more so for the 270 flash right?Hey I run the 225/240/270 stock muffler tune bundle from hurricane with cold air intake, bov, and 3 Barr map sensor !! It works awsome
The 240 will need clutch weights for sure! If you are only getting one tune go with 240hp imo

Read my post 6. Stock clutching with a little extra weight will work well for the 240 tune.

2017 SW LTX LE
I had the Yamaha clutch update done on my 17 SW LTX-LE 137.Guys can anyone help me out with this? I am having Pat’s Yamaha put a Hurricane tune on my 17 SW in a few weeks. I want to keep my exhaust stock. They talked to me about the 225hp tune. Can I do a 240 tune with stock exhaust and clutching? Been looking on Hurricane website under stock exhaust tunes and it looks like the 240 is offered but I want to see if I need anything else additional. Thanks!!
It helped make it peppier.
Then as a simple upgrade went to the Hurricane stock muffler 240 tune with only a clutch weight adjustment , and added the upgraded BOV .
At the same time I had the transfer bar moved back about an inch or so , and had a larger/stronger stop pad welded on .
OMG !!!!
It is a lot faster as it is putting out 15+/- lbs. of boost, and has great transfer that can be adjusted down with reinstalled blocks,to suit the conditions .
If you want to keep it simple go this route .

Do you know what dalton spring he's usingMy friend has the 240 tune he runs the stock helix with the dalton sec spring wrapped at 80. He uses the XS 825 belt. In the primary he runs the stock spring and stock weights with a washer behind the the rivet in the tip. I believe he said it is a 1.5 gram brass one. His sled runs great. Good belt wear so far with a nice engagement. The sled pulls about 8900 and easily walks away from my stocker. I know dalton weights are the standard but the stockers seem good for now at this hp level.

Probably the Dalton Black/Orange spring I would imagine. That’s what is usually recommend for that set up from Hurricane.
