and the one place you can't ride is gamelands. some trails start about 20 miles either side of me, all donations, no real connected system, and this area i'm in is all snow belt, 10-18" more tonight comin, then the allegheny forest may be gov funds, need a special permit, but all trails get heavy use from mup heres. its always i'm up here from pittsburgh, so they get the handle. they come north so we have to go north too. i go to ny, but try to do it during the week when everyone is working. seems those trails always get heavy use too.Yup same as this gang except all ages. Tom has a pig valve in his heart and lives like its his last day now. Great people and beautiful country. They did take me to NY two days around Chataqua? Big difference but I understand PA gives no $ for trails other than Gamelands. That sucks.

You spent 15k plus on a new sled, what's another 1500 for a can, clutch kit and tune to make it a 250hp monster.View attachment 123922 He said it was hitting the limiter. Going to pop a couple grams on the tip. I got some stuff coming. Gonna be a weekend. I'll make sure there is video. Got some steak for another black eye.

Maybe try the cheaper tuner called RX1, will save ya 15k too..Here is the kicker. This is his slow trail sled, he has a supercharged Nytro that will destroy his Turbo Nytro. Not even in the same zip code. Ok which flash will shut his pie hole?
I sold my SRX for $2000 Aaen pipes and roller setup,Bit of porting,Reeds and picked big time. Lots of them out there about that price. Problem is nobody knows what that nitro has done to it. Cripes a couple hundred for Nitrous would do the job. ShagNos it sounds like your gang is buddies like my gang. We refuse to accept loss but still help each other out. No $ just pride and bragging rights that will be used. It sure aint fun when your losing but really when you think back it is. Know what I mean? Kinda like fighting with your brother but no Blood. Still friends you can count on after. If all you are going to do is drag race then spend $ and take some big risks. If you plan on trail riding keep reliability as your main goal/excuse!

It wouldn't surprise me that a 6# Nytro can beat the sidewinder a non decompressed motor has way more pull down low than 9 # decompressed I've proven on my Viper it takes 3# more to run the same. I sold my low boost Viper to get the sw but I have a few buddy's who still have them that I set up and they run hard. I'll find out this weekend if it's faster or not.

why does any one find this post so surprising? I go to one of the biggest lake race events in the US every year and watch a couple good running Turbo Nytro's run with some of the best! Any one that thinks that there going to run down to the dealer and pick up a SideWinder and go and smoke everything is going to be disappointed eventually! Personally I think the Nytro chasis is more efficient! If you start talking mods to get the job done than it just comes down to money and the best tuner. A good running Turbo Nytro or Turbo Apex is very capable of ruening your day!!

Great pic. Like someone else mentioned, it appears that winning races isn,t your thing. However, your photography skills are great. Don,t sweat the loosing to your buddy. There is always someone faster.View attachment 123910
Really, I mean really? Everything I said is true. I was not the only Winder there getting bitchslapped around. Here is your pic.

This doesn't look like some guy building a backyard beater... You look like you have your work cut out for this race season..

O.P. you bought a Sidewinder. Guys that are wanting to race you have had years to tweak them against your "out of the box" Sidewinder.
Dial in suspension, clutch and traction. Then go from there. No worries.
Someone's always going to be faster, promise!
