I hear a whistle sound in my gas tank? And my fuel cap also wants to blow off.

Lots of presure in the gas tank? And every time i stop i hear a whisle sound from the gas tank ,and if i take of the fuel cap its almost blowing of! ?

Mine does the same. Going to check vent line tomorrow night.

3 procross sleds since 2012 and they all have had this whistle and pressure in gas tank. My winder does have a bit more whistle then previous 2. But the pressure at times when taking cap off is normal IMO

I could be wrong... But I believe there's a check valve for emissions to lessen venting... Not like the old days with full venting... They don't want has vapors escaping

Same on the vipers. First time I heard it freaked me out. Sit down ya hear a whistle, stand up gone. LOL. I just open gas cap for a second and all good. Usually after first time of day never get it again.

LMAO^^ now that will be stuck in my head all night.

Had same problem with my 16 cat last year with whistle. The blue vent line is either kinked or the check valve vent is not working right. It will cause the motor to run lean. My knock light would go off very easy until I found the vent hose kinked and I also replaced the check valve vent with my 2012 and all was good. You should not hear a whistle or have much of any pressure in tank.

I don't doubt you in any way. But how would the tank not venting cause a lean condition? No air in creating a vacuum?

What if you removed the check valve altogether and let the tank vent naturally?
