I have a glass-pack mounted under the tunnel and I would like to put on a set of k&n air filters to make more room in the engine compartment for my nitrous bottle. I know that some people have had issues with this type of setup and I hope to avoid problems. For the people that have this setup any advice would be appreciated. Jetting sizes, crankcase evak, ect. I ride between 4-8000 ft.
Frosty you have a similar setup I belive. How is yours setup and how do you like it?

Yup, that's what I have but, I use ECP filters with the velocity rings.

I also have the Holtzman ATACC on my sled but my mains are at 160 if I remember correctly. Based on the black carbon under my tunnel, It looks like 155's would be plenty.

I think my needles are in the middle position.

I can pull out my tunning book if you'd like.

Aren't the ECP filters the same as K&N filters?

On the outside they look the same but, the ECPs supposedly have a built in velocity stack. Go to the air intake forum and you can read about the differences.

I remember a dyno test of the two and the K&Ns actually lost hp over the stock airbox. The ECPs give you about 18 hp int he midrange.

I have seen several used sets in the classifieds.
