I AM A TRUE YAMAHA MAN BUT I HAVE A HARD TIME BELIEVING THAT THE BELT STAYS DRY.
I HAVE SEEN THE BELTS GET WET ON OTHER BRAND NEW MACHINES
AND I DONT SEE HOW YAMAHA MADE IT AIR TIGHT.
ANY GRIZZLY OWNERS OUT THERE THAT CAN SPEAK ON THIS??
THAT IS MY ONLY CONCERN WITH THE GRIZZLY AND PREVENTS ME FROM OWNING ONE[/b]

as long as you keep the water above the fenders, it the belt will never get wet...unless you leave the drain plug out. if you want to go deeper, then you will have to snorkel the grizz.

Sled meant to say "Below" the fenders.
I have no wish to practice submarine tactics with my Grizz, but I have been in many mud and water holes without problems.
Water "can" get into the belt area if you go in deep enough.
If that's your only holdback, jump in.

Never had any problems in water or mud - but never had gone in
to have it over the fenders. This spring when we had all the snow melting some guy tried to cross a river and the current took his atv down stream and ended up with alot of damage

My clutch has been sucking in water. Once through the center of the cover. (the 2 bolts fell out) and another (clamp got bent from a stick or something) and was sucking water. Dealer says they got her fixed up. I sure hope so.
