Is this a sign to buy a Sidewinder

I plan on heading up there to help make the decision to, currently torn between a renegade 850, and the new Sidewinder.
I would think it depends on where you sped most of your time,if I was up in the mountains in deep and steep most of the time,i think it would be the new 850,just because it is so light and agile, but if I spent any time on nice trails, well it would have to be the SW.

Ok guys here is the final SIGN. Today I went to my dealer to spring order my Rtx le. As I got out of my truck I noticed somebody unloading 2 sleds. It was a 2017 Viper LTX le and a Sidewinder. So I stuck my head in there as he backed out the Sidewinder. This is the first time I actually got to hear it live. Both sleds were parked next to each other and I was surprised how quiet and smooth the Sidewinder sounded. The Viper had a little deeper rumble and the idle wasn't as smooth. Got my fix and walked in and wrote a check and now I it's time to wait. Thanks for all the advice on making this decision Ty members.

how much power does the 850 lose at 5-8000 feet ?

I just read a article on this. I think it said 3 percent of its power per 1000 ft. So at 5000 ft that would be 15 percent lose and at 8000 it would be 24 percent lose.

Snowbeast , Would you still take the 850 at 8000 feet ,in the steep and deep , with 24% less power than at sea level ?
OR
The SW with close to 100% ?
Hmmmmmm .

Now that's a very good question,i would say at 5000 not much if any,but 9-10,000 now you may be sucking for air,and air makes power, but it may still be very good even at 10,000 ft. but we all know a turbo don't lose hardly any at all,but to pick your way thru the tight tree line,i just don't know,i don't think I am qualified to answer that one,but there are enough guys buying the SW with very long tracks on them, maybe one of them mountain men can chime in,Sorry.

To me,it was than and is now, still going to be the SW,i have had doo's in the past to,and had good luck till about 2800 miles and at that time even the mighty doo,was starting to sing the blue's song,i could just feel it starting to fade a little bit each time out,so I traded it in before some of that funky blues fell on me lol for me,it would be the SW in a 154 track length.
