I have a turboed phazer ,last year i was running the stock 144" track ,lots of power,, just no traction and limited flotation..has anyone run the 151"x2.3?? if so how did it compare , also looking for clutchin tips??goin to the mountains in a couple weeks and really looking forward to it. :-o

I just put the 151 on and what a difference. I just got done doing a 44 miler in a foot and half fresh powder and it was twice the track. No turbo here so I geared it down to 17 tooth and it is perfect. It rips all the way to 60-65 and maintains about 50 in the deep stuff. Very, very satisfied! Can't wait to see how well it will climb now!

tbyrd, I was looking for a bit more out of my mtn lite. Not power but hook up in the loose deep stuf here in da UP of Mi. What all did you do and what kinf of money is involved, PM me if you likke as I am serious to do some mods for boondockin

Last year I installed Excell Exhaust and put 6, 1 inch air pods in the airbox cover. Very noticable difference. This year with my maveric track falling apart after 4000 miles I called up Tracks usa and ordered the 151 2.31 inch challenger track and the extension rails. Knowing that it was heavier and about twice the paddles as the maveric I decided to gear down to 17 tooth top gear. I never tried it with the 19 tooth and I'm glad I didn't because it's perfect with the 17. I also wrapped my exhaust from the header Y to the Excell can with header pipe tape to keep the flow going. I also richened up my fuel curve one number since I was allowing more air through the system, didn't want it running to lean. Also let out my limmiter strap to the last hole to allow suspension to drop more and bring my front end up when I'm on the throttle, nice improvement. It wants to climb up on top more now instead of feeling like it needs a little more power. All in all I am very pleased, I have only put 65 miles on this year but it has al been in 1to 2 feet of powder so it was a good test senerio. I have about 900 dollars into track, rail extensions and 17 tooth gear. Oh I also purchased the skins float plate for around 100 bucks and I feel it helps the machine float better and pack the snow into the track, very wide compared to yamaha original skid plate. Hope this helps.

sounds promising, i guess anything is better than the stock track i wasn't to impressed when the paddles started to rip off.i have some race gas i will be trying, and with the manual boost controller and adjustable weights on my clutch i should be able to dial it in pretty quick this year.
