Re-doing the fuel pump on BOB to mount it lower because it wouldn’t prime below half a tank. Well prefilter before fuel pump was loaded with shavings from when I drilled the trail tank. I literally flushed it 3 times with water after drilling all my fittings. This is my first fuel pump prefilter ever.
I guess everything happens for a reason! This would have had me chasing my tail when it would have inevitably gone lean at high boost. Winning!

Fixed my suction issue. After it was all buttoned up I sort of wish I put more time into getting the return line routed to the sump internally inside the tank. Right now it just dumps in the top of the tank near the front. Most good sump set ups have the return coming back to refill the sump. Dang. Maybe take 3 sometime when I bend the float up .

First trip to WI in two years! It was a quick one with my daughter who is 14. We rode 200 miles on Friday night through Saturday up by Cable WI. I rode the flame with new power steering as I just don't quite trust BOB yet, amazing to have power steering!!
She rode killa bee and she said it was a 10/10 for trips we have taken, She did great, no crashes and turning into quite the good little rider. I wasn't hauling ace like back in the day but I wasn't putzing around either. She kept up great and wanted me to remove the throttle stop on the Bee I said no way! haha
As for BOB I need a reset, I am actually going to leave it in the trailer and I copied over a tune from @mbarryracing that he was kind enough to send my way and I am going to copy it verbatim in all the lower 3000 and under cells for ignition, compensations, fuel, etc. He said his runs mint in all weather so hopefully that will get me closer. My current tune was more me watching Evans academy vids and setting things up with his advice but I have been chasing my tail and digging myself into a deeper rut....so I think copying the exact same sled is the move, his sled has 1000cc injectors, I have 1050x, his is 10:1 CR mine is 9:1 so slightly different., hopefully I can just get it to pop faster. Right now you have to crank on it for like a full 10 seconds a couple times. When its warm it works ok but still not great it will always start in like 2-3 seconds but it barely fires and sputters to life. I need this resolved before I take it on a trip where I can't have a breakdown.
Funny how if you scroll back a few years in this thread, the Flame left me stranded on EVERY trip I took on it, and dug ole BOB out of the scrap pile to build a reliable one, now the flame is my reliable trusty especially after all the bulletproofing I did to it and added power steering, its really fun to ride now. Fricken rips to 100 with that short gearing and long track. I did wear out my scratchers, the sled absolutely needs them ran near 200 without them and 168 the rest of the weekend once I left them down. I am on the look out for new scratchers I can go in reverse with.
Thanks to all that found me and said hello and introduced yourselves. These winters are tough, 40s this week up in WI and it was already thin. Lu and I got ONE ride here in Iowa last year for 70 miles right before it melted the next day. So 270 miles in 3 years is not what I was hoping for but beggars can't be choosy. I will work on cold starts with BOB each morning before work it will still be in teens and hopefully I can put it away for summer knowing I have it starting better. Still need a DYNO BAD. I need some controlled environment to dial in timing and fuel and make this thing a beast it deserves to be.

I was getting agitated by how hard it was for BOB to start, I did a five day blitz every morning. It was below freezing data logging and finally figured out what was going on!
