So what's the verdict on the knock out kit?

IMO:
On a Sidewinder either go with Hurricane noise reduction collar, change the primary, or live with the rattle!
I personally have had the original Hurricane noise reduction shaft[no longer available] since my sled was new and it is still relatively quiet. Hurricane provides a quiet ring now as they no longer make the complete shaft.

Waste of money. Wear earplugs or pipe music into your helmet.

I find it works, with a couple downfalls. The grease needs to be replaced every few thousand miles.
The interference fit isn't very tight and there have been a couple where the ring doesn't stay where it is supposed to.

I put green loctite on mine to increase the hold on the ring to shaft fit, causes like you said the interference is not tight enough. It quieted my TAPP primary down to nothing where it would rattle before in the 4-4500 RPM range, but I've only put about 150 miles on it so far too. So far, I'm happy with the quiet kit.

- Which one? I have 6
I've tried it and works for a couple rides then back to where it was. Not wasting riding time greasing it during the season everycouple of rides, especiallywhen i use the green loctite. Just use your thumb for rattle reduction.

It’s not worth the money. It last like 1 or 2 rides and back to same crap.
