Just wondering if anyone is running lake effect risers and pivot. I just ordered a set of used Apex mountain bars and was wondering what riser height i should go with.

Typcially a 6" riser set with an adapter block doesn't require the extension of cables. I can't speak specifically about the Lake Effect kit. But I know that our kit (Muffin Works) does not require an extension kit when using that height.

By the way, I have the 05 Mountain cable which is longer than the 04. If I remember correctly because I did that years ago. I am currently running stock bars with a 2" riser block.

Do you remeber how much longer the 05 throttlecable are?

Unfortunately I don't remember, but there was sufficient slack in the cable when I added a two inch riser block. Try posting a question and surely someone may answer. There doesn't seem to be enough traffic on this mountain forum compared the old days so you may also want to post in other forums (RX, Gen Yam, maybe try Apex since lots of people are ex RX owners)

I run a 6in lake effect riser, and used the 05 mountain cable, plenty of length. Dont know exact measurements though.
