So far I have seen so very little actual issues with the Viper as a first year sled when compared to other Yamaha releases that I am going to try to buy a Viper for the girlfriend this saturday.

You guys forget how bad the first year Phazer was? Ball joints literally falling out at less than 300 miles? Wouldn't start cold? Huge hole under seat in tunnel that made huge ice blocks? I could go on but you get the idea. Viper is perfect compared to that...lol

Good luck on getting your Viper! I never looked at this as a guinea pig sled. Proven Procross Chassis and bullet proof proven Genesis motor, best of both worlds!

I just picked mine up. Can tell couple things sent quite Yammy but I'm super happy. Of course my luck all the accessories are back ordered

What dealer did you purchase your viper from? Seen u were from upstate ny as well. Was it a snowchecked viper?

I snowchecked through phibbs but he dropped the ball and I had to get it from brownells. I'm just south of Albany ny.
