I have one on my viper after the timing chain skipped. Chuck at Lakeside motorcycle installed and adjusts. He would be the guy to call and ask. So far no problems with mine.

Ok, i was hoping if someone could explain how to adjust the chain here on Ty and if there is something to be awere of when mounting it.
I will be using Kibblewite race valvesprings and becouse of that i will be using the manual camchain adjuster.

Yes i have read in your web site that you offer a 500 hp timing chain kitt ,in your kitt you sell with the tensioner a chan and a new chain guide. Is it a stronger camchain and why a new chain guide slide? I am building my motor now with rods, pistions, stronger valve springs, head studs and i am planning to boost 29 psi at 9500rpm.All hurricane engines are assembled with manual chain tensioners
And i thought with 29 psi of boost and 9500 rpm it would be better with stronger valve springs and a manual chain tensior?
Can i also ask you how much deflection do you use in the chain between the cams?

The chain is wider requiring a wider chain guide

I ran an APE (American Performance Equipment) manual cam chain tensioner on my 2006 GSXR 750, it worked really well. I would back the tensioner out until the engine ran a little loud, then I would slowly thread it in until I hit the sweet spot. In a sled you wouldn’t be able to do that, on the bike it was easy with the throttle side plastics off.
Does anyone make a manual CCT fora stock viper?
