I went to see the Phazer at my local dealer the other day and I like them even more that I thought I would from all the pics. It looks like it is going to be a blast to ride. I ordered a Mountain Lite a month or 2 ago. Sitting on it you can feel the narrowness of the seat but I don't think that will take long to get used to. I also sat on the Venture Multi Purpose and that seat was very comfortable. I wonder if there will be a way that you can swap the seats. Use the seat form the Phazer if you just want to play and then put the seat from the Multi Purpose on if you want to do some long riding. Does anybody have any ideas. All I know is that I can't wait until next winter comes.

The multi-pupose has a sixteen inch track which means a wider tunnel. Probably means the seat would be too wide for a regular Phazer.
The Phazer seat is great because it is really easy to hang off the side of it compared to a conventional seat, mobility is awsome.
I think this sled is going to surprise a lot of people. Especially if it'll crank out a reliable 140hp with the turbo on it.
As you all know a 2 stroke loses 3% of it's horsepower for every 1000ft rise in elevation. So here where I ride all these 800 and 900's are making about 110hp.
So with the high elevation around here you just crank up the boost a little on the Phazer and you're still making that 140hp.
Oughta be a real thumper...I can't wait to see the look on the guys face riding that 800 when he gets spanked by a Phazer...

Does that Turbo add much weight?

I was told that it will weigh in around 12-15 pounds. But to counter that im sure you can lighten up the chassis from stock with all their little add-ons that dont serve a purpose. Then there is lighteight stuff like battery and float shocks and so on you can add to make it lighter.
I love the fact that this sled starts off so cheap, you can add a turbo and some other personal touches and still be at the same price as any new performance sled.
Thank you yamaha, i think you hit a home run with this one.

I believe you're right about being able to lose some weight off this machine. Yamaha has always been notorious for making the heaviest mountain skids of the big four manufacturers.
I'll bet there is quite a lot of weight to be lost in the front and rear suspensions.
As for the turbo itself, I think the 60hp it adds will more than make-up for the added weight.

Pound for pound dollar for dollar. this sled rocks. At snow west expo I had the opportonity to ride a few new sleds. It out runs and out handles the 07 rmk 600. I did not have a chance to take it to the hills. The new rmks really do well. they feel a lot lighter in the front. But with my op, the phazer just set some new standards. my 2 cent worth. byw we bought 3 of them. 2 mountains, 1 stocker. That would be for modding.

Well stock muffler weighs about 20 lbs!
Should be good with turbo and I am going to ride one just for more fun.

I had the same thought when I saw that picture.

I've rode both a FX and a GT several times. It did not hint at tipping once which was, I'll admit, a fear of mine. Not even a ski lift. I've been riding an older sled with 9" of rear travel so I worried about adapting to a taller sled. I had no problem leaning in the corners. I'm sure it will take a little getting used to but that would be the case with any new model I bought. Believe me, if I felt out of control on it, I wouldn't even have considered purchasing one. I'll ride mine awhile before I decide about a turbo.
