The emphasis seems biased towards marketing as opposed to developing new (expensive) technologies. This new direction for Yamaha is a win for AC for sure. I'm not buying what they're selling, time will tell what lies ahead for our favorite sled company. Kinda sad really.

Good post, Thanks

The future sounds promising at least!

Here are my quick thoughts: Yamaha and Cat together may have saved all of us time and $$ overall ?

How many of us have spent time testing, trail and error to find the best combination of yamaha motor and suspension, ski's, clutching.... to get the sled that we really want to ride. Look at how many of us have added doo, cat and poo suspensions under our two strokes and later 4 strokes cause the pro action did not cut it? Just look at the advice sections on here, Mod results sections .......

All that and lots of money!

I paid over 12,000.00 for my apex LTX GT and it handled like sh... I refused to put ski doo skies on it even though I knew they were probably what I needed? Thank god Yamaha came out with the tuner, gobbled them up and now I have a new sled. ( all Yamaha) I always was just plain stubborn personally about mixing other manufacture parts on my Yamaha after paying so much plus being a loyal yamaha guy!
Now Yamaha has done it for me and you..........
Just anther way to think about.
just my 2 cents

If the Yamaha Executives are telling it like it is, Yamaha will have some cool new sleds over the next 5 years. I like the fact that this will make more American jobs.
In a perfect world Yamaha would build a new plant in America and assemble them here with out help from Cat, but as we all know all to well, most things are not perfect.
At this time I don't feel this is the beginning of the end of Yamaha sleds, this could be great, time will tell.

This is the best news yamaha couldve gave at this point and time. The future sounds great. I will hold out for 2015 my nytro is still a fun sled for me. I can't wait to see the future.

P.s everyone that's pissed off relax Yamaha is making a come back

The Yammy execs failed to mention that they are also a leader in price.
