Not sure, just the my tune software is $350. I'd guess the module is around $700. Maybe Dave will key in on this.

Im sure there is an autotune setup for the RB3 but honestly a day and the laptop is about all thats required to have a very good map, then refinements as the season progresses. I have been involved in a few.

TurboJamie said:I might have missed something but why not sure an RB3, its fully able to map to Turbo or SC. My friend Chris at Bondi engines built a pro charger setup for his 1200 doo and built his own map he runs 12 psi on pump gas with head shim and bypass valve and runs around 110 miles to a tank.
Have you seen this mileage on a Apex SC with RB3 per tank? We dont ride doos..lol

The RB3 is a piece of junk compared to the PCIII with ignition, I've tuned quite a bit with both. Seems some RB3's work and some don't, some changes you make will change the tune the way you want it to and some don't. With the pcIII when you make changes - it changes the tune the way you intend it to. I had 2 rb3's and with the exact same map it would run comletely different on the same sled. I'm not a big fan of the RB3.

I agree 100% waste of money buying an Rb3 very unreliable.

Thats one of the tricks to the RB3 voltages and Map sensors that Dave has no clue about even though he thinks he does. Trust me they can be setup properly and are like stock for clean running and driveability. I could care a less what anyone buys I don't have a hand in anything to do with it. But they do work PM me and I can explain what the dealo is if you want to play with one.
As for Mr.Sled if you get your mapping right you sure should be able to run 100 miles to a tank of gas, your less boost and smaller displacememt than the 1200 doo with the same size gas tank. Its going to be setup of the bypass and fuel mapping to get it to work.

A supercharger will always use more fuel. It's a proven fact. It takes horsepower to spin the blower. That's why the car manufactures are starting to use more and more turbos. Ford with ecoboost engine. 22 MPH out of f-150 with almost 400 HP.

On another note, not to bash Tom's sled but my apex with Alpine 8.5 gallon fuel tank running around 16 to 18lbs. of boost will go 110 miles. Front mount turbo setup. That's the #1 complaint on here with superchargers is fuel mileage.

Understandable but with the stock controller on my SC sled it will run in the 10s on the A/F gauge cruising on the trail and there is now way to lean it out... the thing is set as low as it will go in that range..... therefor I am trying to get the cruising fuel ratio better and I am sure it will drastically improve my mileage.
If the PCV with auto tune can build it own map and hit the numbers I need with my driving style... then why the heck would I not want to use it??

MrSled, you are exactly right. You need something to put the AFRs where you want them and the PC5 with the AutoTune will do exactly that. It will run cleaner and get better fuel economy. Now, you can use the WBII module instead of the AutoTune to have a dash mounted guage for your AFRs from Dynojet. Or, you can use the LCD200 with the AutoTune and it will tell you all sorts of things. You just set it up to read what you want from the PC5 and AutoTune. Little pricey, but it is NICE!
Now, you have to start out with a map for the PC5 to modify and get the AFRs where you want them. There are no downloadable maps for the PC5. I have a map that should be a good starting point for you as I am pushing 16 lbs of boost. Get it close and the AutoTune will do the rest.

Im running 10 lbs on my SC so that would be a good start. Can you just email me the map? webmaster@totallyamaha.com

I am adding a 5 gal fuel tank to the back of my seat this year so I can get added range out of my SC apex 10-11 psi set up. I can get 100 miles but the last 30 miles I run it like a sissy and I dont want to run it like that I want the go all the time!
I'll post picts in the garage section but I think most will be pleased with how it turns out only drawback is I will lose my rear trunk that is where the filler will be. I do have a backpack I carry and a tank bag so I should still have enough storage for those 300 mile days. It will be fun for the first 50 miles to not have the gas gauge move on the sled as it drains the rear tank first.
Still may be interested in the auto tune but even with perfect engine managment I dont think the range is going to improve that much.

RB3 unreliable???? Not in my experience.
The RB EVO has autotune AFR capabilities.
Tuning Bike will make maps as you ride.
The RB3 part# still exists for the YFZ R1 suggesting it's still for sale.

The evo does not have ignition changes available though. You would need racing version
