turbo!!

wow again!

This sucks!! I wish you guys would of bought your kits here so I can look after you!
Vcrash you are not far from me and I could help you, but need for speed you are a little far away,
I did talk to dean a few min ago, I have to call him back later,

BTW need for speed! who did you by the kit from?? I heard the kit came from POWDERLITES and you used your visa with ALPINE as dave did not have one at the time!!

The reason I im in the middle here is for 2 reasons!

1-- I rather see you happy with your ALPINE working!

2--- I know these kits work and there a blast!!

I hope You can work things out with dean, again! I feal so bad you had to go threw this. winter is to short!

keep me posted!!

Sorry to hear about your issues, but Julien has treated me great and Dave repaired my header at no cost.

My downpipe collapsed with no offer to send a replacement. I did have a fuel box go that I had replaced free.

WOW!! as you all know I sell the alpine kit! I am NOT saying I have not had a few small problems
I 100% agree on help from the guys who make the kit ALPINE/POWDERLITES! when a client has a issue at our shop, all they have to do is bring the sled back and we will repair it at N/C,
if and when there is a problem I inform dean and he replaces the parts!

Now I did have flex pipe problems! THERE JUNK! we have new ones now and I expect to get a credit for all the ones we bought this year!
as for the control boxes... so far not one has went down, these boxs have to be dry and sealed!
john

I have only dealt with Dave and his guys from Powderlites and I have to say that he has been very helpful to me over the phone and can’t complain about that!!!
However I ended up with one of those flex pipes in which I purchased to replace the piece of junk that had been supplied with my original kit last spring. I ended up with boost problems as a result and ended up figuring it out with the help from the guys on this site via a post I put up.

Are you just getting credit for the ones you have in stock or all the ones you’ve purchased and doing recalls on the ones you’ve installed and replacing them? If you are then Powderlites should step up to the plate and do the same!!!! I had to tear mine down, bring it to a local welder to get the sh!t taken out from the inside of the flex pipe, then put it back together, in which cost me 50 bucks. I think that I should have been offered a free replacement at the least, but was told to just have that removed and it should be fine.

Sorry to hear about you luck. I have had my fair share of issues with my Alpine kit.....mostly install. I am on my second header....and it cracked after 200 km of mostly groomed trails. I have 2 fires and a few other issues. One thing i can say is that Dean and Julien have been great to deal with. Any problems I have had have been dealt with quickly.

Why bring this to the site??? I am sure you want to help others but really you need to contact them and fix your problem or maybe Custom Sled could assist. Customer service is so very importaint in good sales and future sales.

not sure yet?? I will be sending them back and I HOPE!!! he gives us a credit,

I will let you know!! In deans defense They don't run those flex pipes out west, they were sent for us guys out east, BUT! i would think they should be tested before selling!!!

listen!! The kits work, yes there were some fu%^ UPS but I hope thing get worked out!!

On are end we are working like crazzy to make thse things 100%

I have 0ver 1500miles on the sled this year on trail lake and water.

the olnly thing that went wrong was....FLEX PIPE, oil line,( came loose)

heat on the hood, BUT I RUN A FIRE CAT HOOD and oce I cut a whole it was good!
OH YA! and the last part fliping it over and writing it off!! :o| LOL!!!

I will be calling the ALPINE BOYS THIS AFTERNOON!!

mr sled you ask why because the facts shuold be told good bad or otherwise. if iwas all giddy happy you wouldnt ask this question im not doing anything other than speak of my winters experience with my turboed sled. if i have offended one of yor advertisers that was not my intention. i just wanted to tell my story. there seems to be more stories of horror out there.

It sounds to me like he has tried to settle this off the forum and had no luck, I believe this information should be on here along with all the good experiences, this is alot of money to spend and people need all the information they can get, good or bad.

turbo!!

I have spoke to both partys( DEAN & KEV) And I am trying to make things happin!

why did I get involved?? :o|

well I am a sleder too, and the worst thing is to be sitting on the side lines!!

BUT JUST TO CLEAR A FEW THINGS UP!!

The kit does work!! Yes KEV had some problems and I understand,
I have worked very hard on these kits and like I said before were almost 100%!!

hopefully Kev will be able to re-port back here soon, and be a happy man!

I know ALPINE tried to resolve things with Kev, and this is the reason they have me as a dealer out east.

Finaly DAVE from powderlites sold the kit to kev and ALPINE jumped in to try and make things right :o|

I think this should of stayed in daves hand, Yes ALPINE took the VISA card but both DEAN AND DAVE WORK together...

Hope this goes well :-o

They are lucky to have a dealer such as yourself John. I see your going to be around for a while. Thats refreshing.

I am running an Alpine front mount and have had nothing but the best dealings from Alpine and Powderlites. I did have my flex pipe collapse as well but it is all fixed up and running well.

I think there were three seperate times this year where I was out on the lake and had questions about the fuel control box..I phoned up Alpine and either Dean or Todd were more than happy to guide me through the settings and gave me advice on what to adjust based on the information I was relaying to them.

thanks

thanks Vcrash! I am trying to make them both happy even if its not my fight,
Its just a matter of time before I piss someone off and they say somthing about our shop,
all I can do is try and make things right!
we love what we do, and its not about $$ for me!!
NEED 4 SPEED was just not a happy client of POWDERLITES/ALPINEs
and I hope It works out for both of them,

I agree with snowy1. If you sell a kit you should stand behind it. If you don't, then this post is what you deserve.

THEY DID STAND BEHIND IT!!

what I understand is , kev had 1-2 headers replaced, 2-3 EFI boxs and the sled still did not work right!

were does ALPINE stop! just keep sending stuff?? Kev and ALPINE are over 4000miles away from each other and its hard to bring the sled by the shop, I know if he was near ALPINE they would fix him up!!

so Kev just gave up, and I understand! after tons of$$$ out the window!

another thing!! alpine did not install the kit! and not saying kev doesent know what he his doing, But mistakes happin!!

the smalest thing can make the sled run like a bag!! ( BEEN THERE!!)

Like I said beforeI jumped in here as a fellow sleder, and I want to see him happy,

I have talk to ALPINE and hopefully things will pan out for Kev!!
