I agree meth is a good option on a sled like yours. I would first validate the numbers and make sure we know its a voltage draw problem first then we can talk solutions.
It easy to spot who pro meth and who is against meth in these posts, lets just help rxrider figure it out.

Actually, when calculating the amp load of the meth pump, you will need to take into concideration the fact that the pump is controlled digitally. Therefore, the pump will draw full amps only when it is activated. Most guy's don't require full duty cycle and if they did,it would only be for seconds during full boost. The battery would then buffer the short term demand if the charging system was not adiquate.

How much does it draw when the controller sees 18lbs of boost and its set up like rxriders? His sled is running fine for 10 minutes then the problem presents itself.

I believe that his problem is that his AF's are alittle to rich for the meth. All he needs to do is to lean it out a little. That will create a hotter flame-front so that the meth will not be able to extinguish the fire as easily

apex blower 136 for asphalt racing
osp drag race sled (apex engine based)
I will tell my experiment on the field and on the dyno this winter with meth injection.
with methanol coming on a 10 psi and going to full pressure by 18 psi.
When I ran 15-16 psi on the trail (and dyno) sled did ran great and pulled hard.
Then with same meth settings it would missfire at 19 psi (trail AND dyno).
And that is why I got her on dyno... to solve this mystery.
It would not pull anyhigher than 9500-9800 rpm on the higher boost setting (rotrex blower) and was obviously losing a cylinder or two during the run... as soon as we backed off the gaz, engine ran normally.
Then I tried 'leaning' the meth by raising the full pressure point to around 23 psi for a quick test.
We were then able to make a normal no missfire that time but was still extreme rich in meth... just borberline to the missfires.
My conclusion... too much meth AND running rich air fuel (which I did... hi 10's/low 11 afr) was killing the flame front even with a stronger standalone ignition system

Add an alternator????
Remove the meth pump and poor in race gas.
Thanks Ted, do you sell them?
The reason I run meth is to be able to run high boost on premium pump gas. Racefuel is hard to get. I'm up for a days drive back and forth to get hold of racefuels, and it's very pricey at $30USD a gallon. Removing the meth system is out of the question, and so is running racefuel.
NO it was a stab at Humor.
There is a place that does high output Stator rewinding, that advertises in some of the ATV, motorcycle and snowmobile mags, this may be a great solution for everyone running meth systems.
Sorry I can't remember the name of the place.
I understand where your coming from on the price and availablility of race gas.
Hope this info helps.

Great input guys
I will start out with the simple things first, like measuring/adjusting my fuel pressure and jet leaner like around 12.0 AFRs or so like Dave and MulotTurbo are suggesting.
In addition to the stock electrical devices I run:
- 2007 Apex handlebars and warmers (off most of the time)
- Innovate LC-1 WBO2 system with XD-16 display
- Bosch external fuel pump
- Meth Injection system and pump
I may have to run her on grass this summer in order to get her in shape before next season.
