New SRX gear ratio?

Seems to me a real lake racer would have been 129. Transfers better and faster imo!!
I guess we need to define "Lake Racer". Is a lake racer a radar sled or a drag racer? big difference between the two.

IMO....This is the definition of a Lake Racer:

Your buddy talks #*$&@ all summer.... bragging how light and fast his POS 2 smoke is. Then he explains how he dropped $1200 on a set of heads, can, clutch kit and he gained 7hp. Meanwhile your ecu took a plane ride and for $500 you gained 55hp. You feel bad for the fool, but say nothing!!

Finally, winter comes, the two of you are riding a trail that crosses a lake. It just froze 2 weeks ago, is flat, smooth, and has 1/4 inch of snow on top of it for lubrication.

You are leading across the lake and minding your business. Your Buddy pulls onto your leftside and grabs a handful of throttle on his POS 2 smoke.

You smile........grab a handfull of throttle with your right hand. Your left hand is giving him ....... "the Birdie!!"

Your winder leaves him like he's tied to a pole and within seconds your speedo is deep into the 130s. You arrive at the end of the lake and look in your mirror, but can't see your Buddy. You pull over and wait....eventually he shows up.

When he arrives he says, "Wow...that sled is fast....I've never been fleeced like that in my life."

You don't say anything......because you don't have to.

Haha awesome!

Fastest stock sled ever on the lake. In 2017 it was touted as the fastest most powerful stock sled ever.

So they have to beat that by making this one faster in stock form, thus “Lake Racer”

It will be taken as a challenge by other stock sleds. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.......

I'm also going to have a very long summer because a ordered a srx lol

DISCLAIMER:
TY does not condone removing your hand from the handlebar at speeds over 120mph to hand gesture your friend in a derogatory manor that could humiliate your friend..........unless it's Yellow

I would think that a sled that is clearly targeted towards top end speed will not have less than 21/41.
Hey I see your around the London area where did you order your srx from?

I was told at the sneak peak in Barrie from a factory rep that the SRX will be 21/41. He also said there would be clutch calibration changes....... Said he didnt know what they were exactly...

Gearing is a little above my pay grade. I’m looking at ordering a srx. But I’m working into the deal a Camso storm 150. Will that 21/41 gearing be enough to pull the track? Or will I need to gear down? And before I get the question. I don’t like the ltx le at all as far as looks.

No worries with being able to pull the Storm 150 track with the 21/41 gearing. I've got two 'Winders that are running that track. Both sleds are 137" length tracks with the 21/41 stock gearing.

If I was ordering a new SRX that would be the track that I would install.

I've also heard as Allen just posted that the SRX will be coming with the 21/41 gears. My sources are not from little birdies like his, just the voices in my head:)

Not to get off topic but did you stud your tracks?
