I just purchased an 04 Warrior. This sled already has the Hauck cold air kit, Cam Gears and Holtzman Carb Springs. The stock exhaust have been cut and gutted, but I am thinking of an aftermarket exhaust system, such as the Hauck, Excel or the Whiteknuckle Performance system. I was wondering what results some of the members of this forum might have found with these products and which would be recommended.

This sled has a 136" x 1.5 track and is going to be used for 500' snow drags and playing in the fields..

What other performance items, do you think would be good for this sled?

Thanking you in advance,

Tim

You have a lot of questions there. Try doing searches in the appropriate catagories as there are pages and pages with tons of information there. :4STroke:

Completly gutted stock exhaust seems to lose power not help and makes the sled loud and buzzy. Mildly gutted seems to make more noise but nto too much and power increase are pretty much nill.

Excell drops the most weight at 15lbs, white knuckle is tinny sounding drops 11lbs, not much on hauck a few guys on here have and liked them, I think it drops 13lbs.

I'm staying stock till I can find a good deal on a used exhaust, would like the excel but they rarely come up used.

Depending on what your running the track might be out of place. If your a trail guy youwould get better performance with a smaller lug track. If not then the 1.5 is good in powder. Depending on the track the lugs may be too soft for drag racing and just fold over on take off.

I would put on the Excell. They sounds great and feel great on the throttle. Most of us that had RX1s and or Warriors, had great luck thith heavy hittters with carb springs and Filter kits.

White Knuckle or an older Max Perf pipe really sounds great too but on any pipe dont expect earth shattering results.

The excell is a top notch exhaust system and sounds awesome.
The Huack system is great sytem they include a header and muffler so it really gains some power. It's little loud, but sounds awesome. It's probaly the best sounding exhaust for the rx1/warrior in my opinion.
The white knuckle exhaust is the cheapiest.I like the white knuckle on other models just not on th rx1 it sounds way too tingy and they do make a race version which is super loud.

You can put some cr10ek spark plugs in.There worth about 2hp it's alittle bit colder plug also.So on start up use your choke and gradually turn in off.Don't let it on or you will foul the plugs.I know it' not much of a gain but for 30.00 2hp that's a deal.If your drag racing every bit helps.

Get the carbs synced most sleds are way off.It makes a big difference in the way the sled revs.

If you have any other questions just fell free to ask.

Tim I would recommend reading all the rx1 pages there is a bout 200 but you will realy gain some knowledge.

Here in NY according to the law no aftermarket exhaust is allowed so I left mine stock. I do have my 97 700sx tripple piped though. I like the looks of the dual pipes and with the filter kit it is plenty loud for me. Since I ride groomed trails whenever I can I don't find the weight of the sled to be an issue.

Thank you Everyone! This is the type of Info I was looking for..

I talked to Pat Hauck and I think I am going with his complete exhaust kit.. It's expensive, but good things aren't cheap...

I'll let everyone know when I get it! :)

Thanks again,

Tim

Awesome let us know how you like it and if there is any way to get some db ratings that would rule. Radioshack has cheap DB meters.

What power gains did you tell you to expect and any clutching jetting changes needed?

i think the exhaust is my next move for my warrior! i also thought about hauck so i can't wait to hear what you think of it! keep us posted!

Only this is I'm runnign studs down the middle and they don't reccomend that on the hauck. Maybe some protectors would work though. Can't wait for the results!
