No start

Put the battery on a charger for several hours then have it load tested. Autozone will do it for free. You can also load test a fully charged battery using a meter to measure the voltage drop under a load. To do this pull the ignition fuse so the sled doesn't start then roll the starter while measuring battery voltage. If the voltage drops below 9.2-9.3 volts then the battery is bad. If the battery is OK and you jump across the starter relay posts to energize the starter directly and it doesn't roll over then the starter is bad.

I jumped it off my truck and it took off. I got another battery just so I don't have to worry our west

I forgot to say right from the get go when key turned on the display would flicker and the relay s would click. The starter never would turn over. Voltage must have been so low or would not even try.

Thank you all for the replys. This is a great community

I got a new battery and tried to charge the original but it won't take a charge at all. 9.8 volts is what it reads. I don't think I left the key on so what else could have killed my battery in a matter of 3-5 days??

Probably a bad cell. You can check your charging circuit with the sled running with a meter. Should be 13-14 vdc at the battery terminals.

OK. With key off. New battery is 12.5 volts. I thought it should be higher

Thats fine. Just start it up and measure voltage at battery terminals.

Pete

Did you put the new battery on the charger before putting it in the sled?

Pete

Yes. 1.8 amps for 10 hours like the battery says

One other thing are you using a newer style charger i.e. CTEK or similar ?

Pete

Then just start it up and measure the voltage at the battery terminal to be sure the machine is charging your battery. Should be @13.5-14 Vdc.

Pete

Yep got 13.5
