Does anyone know how much flow and pressure the crankcase scavenge pump puts out on an Apex. Would a 3/8 check valve cause to much constriction.

Not sure about flow, but you have around 70 psi oil pressure on these motors.

I believe he was talking about the scavenge side of the pump. If so, in theory the scavenge section discharge should be just slightly over the pressure of the crankcase. It pumps the scavenged oil from the bottom of the pan to the sump, which is vented back to the crankcase. For what you are asking, the flow is the main concern. I would do a temporary install with a tee and a pressure guage on the engine side of your check valve, and monitor it at high rpm. That would tell you if your checkvalve flows enough. My two cents.

Thanks, I am going to give it a shot.

There is more pressure than thought, just finished a TURBO and had the oil return go in the return line . there was oil coming out of the exhaust and lots of smoke. After that I plumed into the tank breather line and no more smoke or oil.
I don't think it is a lot , but for sure more than I expected.
