I've had lots of these tanks off and from what I see there is really no baffle plates in the tank ... I would think on a MTX there should be so the oil doesn't move around as much ...do you have a dip stick or window , I can't remember whitch one came on the MTX ... I thought that's why they went to the dip stick tank because it's bigger , 1qt bigger to help this !!

The dipstick model tank does have a baffle that the window oil tank does not have. Maybe that baffle and the extra oil (4.4 quart) still doesn't make a difference when your cat walking though.

The early 15's did not come with a dipstick tank. We had one of each until I changed the SE tank out now they are both the same.

I run extra oil and have never had my light come on. I run at the top of the sight glass then add a little more. If i see it get down to where i can see it i add a little. this engine holds a lot of oil in the valve train when running, I was told to run extra.

Could the baffle be doing it then ? not letting the oil stay level in the tank and get alittle air under the baffle , maybe !!!

The baffle is across the top, about 3/4's the way up the tank. The idea of it is to keep the oil in the bottom 3/4's of the tank and the top 1/4 is more just air space.

Here is the fix.
There is an oil sensor that comes on when the sled is in upside down postion. So this is turning on when your sled is vertical as well. It's resistor block that these guys made to dummy the sensor.

That is not a fix. If the sensor activates the system it is obviously sensing a change in oil pressure or volume. The change in Oil pressure or Volume must be corrected not the sensor. Its working. Here is the fix.

Yeah he was saying there is 2 sensors on the motor. The one needs to stay put but the other they are delaying it with resistors. Yes it's not a fix. But it the only way to make the sleds rideable at the moment. I still that a redesigned tank would be best. Arctic cat had a fix where they delayed the light for 10 more seconds. But still not enough.
