ontario ty ride for 2012

Sounds good, I just don't like setting up a place to stay that I have not seen myself for other people..

Hey TANDK, where you from? You didn't fill in your location in your profile.

I have not forgotten about finding a place to stay. School is a bit crazy right now. Done on Saturday for the semester so I will be able to figure it out after that.

We may have to resort to staying in town and if the snow is not the best or we have a lot of sled trying to make it through town it may be easier to drive to a staging area and unload sleds.

It would be nice to be able to ride from the rooms though...

Let me know what you guys think.

Yeah, it's hard to think about that when even a white Christmas is not likely to happen. Sure hope this happens. Whatever works. Might complicate things a bit for those with pickups if they have to load/unload. Sure even with trailers it can be a PITA but it's manageable.

Agreed. I have never stayed in town so I don't know if there are a lot of streets to cross, lights all that kind of stuff.

Anyone else still have a green lawn? lol.

So how far would that be from North Bay? Can't be a short drive for sure but you'd be more than welcome!

Maim will know.....;)! saw on another thread that tandk was around an hour from Gwinn so it will depend on which side of Gwinn for an accurate guesstimation.

lol yeah its been awhile since ive been out that way but mapquest say around 7 hour drive .. considering it as might be fun to get away for a couple days and riding somplace ive never been ...

muni is 6hrs of straight driving for me from sudbury through soo without counting the stops for gas, food and booze/cigars (duty free). noth bay is 1hr and 15min from sudbury. soo to sudbury is 3.5-4hrs.

Just found out that the Ride for Dad in Pembroke is the same weekend on Saturday the 18th. That is one event I would have liked to attend since I missed last year's because of all the blown Doos we had.

Anybody else have this date conflict?

I had forgoten about that ride.

I have gotten a few replys from trail side hotels and they are all expensive for group rates. They all say it is because of the week end we picked.

Is anyone opposed to changing the week end we pick?
