ontario ty ride for 2012

atm it would be my brother and i with 1 truck and enclosed 3 place. might have guests with us. other brother lives in nb so he should be ok.

one room 2 beds.

 Sound great, so it looks like everyone is ok with family day week end then?

That would be Febuary 18th to the 20th I think this year?

Quick question- I'm the only smart one in my circle that rides Yamaha, are we open to all comers if I bring friends as long as there is a tow rope for each?

I don't see why not... After all we are all there for the same reason.

I am the only yamaha rider in my group too.

Yeah, we still have one Doo in our family so no problem.

Yeah, unlike that "other" brand forum :tg:

i'd love to join this ride, but now i'm stuck with 2 hernia, and my appointment for surgery is end of january,i'm afraid i wont be riding that much this season, this will be a first for me :o| :o| :o| :o|

I do not mind. As crew can attest I will tow/help anyone who needs it.

Might even have a spare yami or two with us if we need it.

Pat, that sucks! Hopefully you can get back to some riding asap after the surgery.

Anyone else looking to join in the ride?

I'll have to firm up closer to the date but maybe you guys can post some sled friendly hotel choices and we can book our own accomodations?

I have done a bit of research on sled friendly places. I have been told that if we pick hotels on the lake we may have a hard time getting to the trails through town unless it has snowed very recently. We would be better off getting to the trails by truck and dropping the sleds off.

For location on trail map: http://nnta.ca/map/

-Travelodge Airport North Bay #15 on map. From what I hear this is the best place to be. Though it may cost a bit more (waiting to a quote on group rates). There is a lot of room for truck/trailers, they groom to the parking lot so they are very sled friendly. There are a few bars/restaurants for after the ride about 150yards away for those who are interested. Gas station next door, this one has come very recommended to me.

-There is a cheaper alternative at a motel between North Bay and Bonfeild. Dinner Bell Motel & Restaurant.

The best I could find as for a web site. From what I hear it is 70 bucks a night and they have gas and trails right in the best trails around NB and Mattawa . I have ridden by this place and I can say trails are always in great shape! They only have 5 or 7 rooms though...

The Travelodge would be a better option I think but is likely more expensive. Once I get the $$ info I will post.

If there are any other suggestions please post them!

I got an answer from the Travel lodge, they want 120 bucks for Saturday night and 90-100 bucks for Sunday night.

The ideal location is a bit too expensive for a "group rate" in my opinion and may not attract more users to join in on the ride.

Are you guys ok with a smaller motel trail side?

Does anyone have any other suggestions on a place to stay?

All I need is a big bed to sleep in. As long as there is food nearby, I'm good.
